Our first task after tying up in the Alcaidesa Marina in La Linea was to go to the local Vodafone shop and buy a sim card for the computer. MEO, our Portuguese provider had cut off our service for unknown reasons. Actually, I think they sent a link but that was useless without the internet. A few groceries were also purchased. We went back into town in the evening for diner.

Much time was spent Sunday looking on the web for clues to my actuator problem. The actuator would work fine, with no strange noises then stop. If forced to move just a bit, it would start working again – until the next time. I decided it was most likely a stuck motor brush. Not wanting to disassemble the unit at the time, I hit it a few times with a rubber mallet. (more…)
